what people are saying

Crop Up has been a huge asset during the master planning and charrette process for the Greenwood Farmers Market. She had the background and knowledge that enabled the team to build new relationships between the farmers, the restaurants, and the community.

MUSC Urban Farm has cropped up

It is bitter sweet to be leaving the MUSC Urban Farm, but time.

The farm is at its peak. What was once a parking lot had over a 100 people in it today. Jing lead a station about Chinese Lettuce in the stir-fry bed to 30-40 people. Caroline was harvesting and teaching about edible flowers. Mary's group harvested basil and Eggplant for the Ronald McDonald House. Anthony led sheet mulching. Sodexo’s head chef Brett harvested basil and peppers for pizzas and soup in the cafateria.

I am amazed, and would expect no less. The team I have worked with since last August: Robin, Susan, Suzan, John, Christine, Debbie, Vanessa, Wade, Tony, Bart, and Dr. Greenberg. You are remarkable.

Thank you.

The folks I have met through the garden: of so many languages, so many of you with Novocain still in your cheeks, some of your four, some of you 74, researchers, cooks, community, families - thank you.

The bird that sits on the hoops and watches us, the ladybugs on those peas. Thank you.

It has been an honor to work with you. A gift.

I look forward to you taking on your farm June 31st. And changing others lives, as you have mine.

Congrats. Love Crop Up.
